The man with the flared messy hair called Nasirun. He is a famous painter in Indonesia, esp. Jogja. He’s got 10 houses in Jogja. I was in one of em with a Japanese friend to do an interview about a painting art last year. A man next to Nasirun is a curator. The house is huge and it’s got art works in every part of it. We were really surprised to know that he’s got another 9!!!!! He’s been around in many countries as well to do the exhibition. As we asked them how come he has many houses like that, he said it was the result of selling painting works. WOW!!! His paintings belong to the surrealism with traditional Javanese sense, i.e wayang. Most of em were painted in very big size. There are other well known artists in Jogja it self. As we know the image of an artist is like a bohemian , carefree, and perhaps away from establishment and wealthiness. Well, it was a first thought come up in my mind as I saw Nasirun and other artists. They keep being modest so far anyway. I think wat Nasirun does to provide himself and the family is a good way. All he has to do is just to express wat’s on his mind in painting or other artworks. He doesn’t have to deal with a legal employment contract shit, or any complicated works. Nor he has to keep waiting for ,say, a month or a week just to get paid. It’s koooollll…….i call it as a pure way to get money. By selling stuffs. In this case, paintings. All he’s got is a wild mind and an originality. It’s a “safe” kinda job!! Compared to those small brains pervert who did corruption to provide their own big belly!!! Nevertheless, this phenomenon of painting artists get themselves rich is quite controversial. the inspiration, motives, and all those abstract things are become questioned. Do they paint for money or is it because of a sole art feeling they got in their mind and heart. To speak in a reality, who does ever care of it though? Who does ever care of the money are gonna spend to? Who does ever care of one’s feeling and thought about artworks?no one could guess of any other people thought. Maybe the artist deserves it. The money they got for the enjoyment and excitement they create towards other people’s feeling. Afterall, the buyer gives their money voluntarily aight, without any force to do it.

a girl besides me is "chiku", a class mate of mine. she used to organize the literature sharing from the teacher to the students.... she's a good girl... the picture took place on the International Human Rights Expert Meeting where i was one of the committees. in that event i got more realised that we dont live alone in this world, there are many more people with special character that we wouldnt understand until we get along and to know them as a social human being....

launch!!!!!!

day fourth of the week but it feels like just yesterday was monday!!! been busy with tons of homeworks and parttime works!!!!!i'm 20 years old , people said it's a productive age. well i regard so.. at first i was afraid of leaving my teen age, teens was hell lot of FUN !!!!!!! until one day of the upcoming days to my 20 i had this contemplation bout my self in the past and future. i was reminded of bad things ive done. felt silly afterwards and laughing at my self. i got realised that it's a step to make a change, go forward, and just grow up. according to a westerner friend, people there are considered mature on the age of 21. someone has to get outta their parents' house and find their own living place. he/she then is to be fully responsible to him/herself. on the article i read in a woman mag, it said that 20 is a proper age to start saving money for the future investment in order to maintain our treasury. i started to work as a temps(parttimer) in my 20 but i used to spend the salary right away after i got it. Childish way!!! i was meant to please my self. was so lavish hehehehehe i feel sory for myself neways.
ya i know it's a productive age but it also a moment for us to choose what's right. like wat to be and to do in future, i believe everything which are good organized are worth much. it means good planning. but the most important thing is to do the planning. nevertheless it is also the hardest thing hahhahhahaa..... temptations are endless, esp. our moods. i wish we could set moods just like a remote controller hhaahhaha.... just like in a "clicked" movie. i wonder how the military personnel could just stay steady all the time. they'd just do wat has to do without any complaining to the commander. they have a strategic planning and are always ready to execute it anytime. their goal is to winning the war. how could they be so focused in that. dammit man really wonder!!! yea it's just the matter of discipline, they have been indoctrinated by a spirit of corps. to be the best. maybe that's wat the "bad mooders" should do... look back to what our goal was. to see how we could've gone this far. never stop!!!!!!!!

another funeral :-]

wwhhhooooaaa my bike almost hit a car at the crossroads on my way to uni!!! luckily i'm safe.... stupid me!!!! was tryin to be punctual at my first class this morning. as i got there, a classmate told me the class is off. our teacher who supposed to teach in my class is in the mourning times. her brother was found dead in that flamed aircraft. remember my last story? yea, he's a vice dean of the faculty of economy in our uni. he's also an uncle of a classmate. so yea, i just figured out lately that one of my classmates is a son of our teacher. my deep condolences for them, the family. some students along with teachers came to the ceremony. this time it was held in an old Masjid in a royal palace area. called "masjid gede kauman". it still got a traditional touch and i found it nice....was my first time there and i just like to visit traditional heritage hehehehe... aight back to the ceremony... i bet this man is an important person in a moslem organisation which based in here. it's called Muhammadiyah. it is very deep rooted in the civil society of Jogja anyway. too bad me and friends didnt get cameras to take picture with.
it was so crowded. i could feel the sense of unity and solidarity over there.
finally a question has answered. i said there were 3 UGM's teacher became victims in the accident. the rest of two had been found, only one survived. he's a teacher of a faculty where i study at. he's got wounded, but safe. wat a luck......in the mean time, i'll have another class at 1 pm, and apparently i'm too lazy to go back home, so here i am stay at uni hehehe. so sad that the uni had lost some of its best men. a good generation is slowly disappearing. i admit it that teachers play a great role in my life and maybe so is everybody. i would never be like this if i had not known my teacher since i was a little child. i really really appreciate wat they had done to me. taught me to read and write. i feel sorry for those who liked to make fun of teachers behind their back. screw the stupidity those people have. they are obviously nothing without teachers. the lesson that i got from these 2 long days are that those teachers abdicated most of their life for the people. real people. even though they got a big name, they're not careless of wat's going on around them. as example: a professor whose funeral is yesterday had proposed to establish a university in a suburb area "Gunung Kidul". he suggest our uni to look around instead of enrich itself hehhehhe. just compare to the bastards in the stupid government. all they care is how to get their payment raised. it's not democracy. it's democrashit. by the way, it's getting hotter here, SUNNY!! i'll go buy an ice cream right away then hehhehhe nyamzz nyamzz

rain in a sunny sky

(this is supposed to be posted yesterday, but there was some technical error in the internet connection!!!!!!!!!)

It was my first time attending a funeral ceremony of a professor in the university. He was a great professor with a long history in academic and social field. He’s got bunch of achievement. It was a long list of CV!!! No wonder many people from different background had come to give him a last regard . There was a military ceremony as well, regarding at his young age he abdicated some part of his life in a military service before he turned into academic realm. He died in a plane crash yesterday morning at a local airport. The plane was burnt in flame and had a little explosion. Wat a disaster!!!! It must took the favor of a miracle to survive yea ….whooaaaa… one thing I couldn’t forget about this funeral ceremony is the atmosphere around the place. It took place at the uni’s large backyard which surrounded by huge trees and it was so green. As the ceremony held, some storks--or perhaps crows, coz it looks more to it!! well, some black and white birds----- emerged out of their nest at the top of the trees. It was soooo kooollll!!!!!!!! Nice view, beautiful sky!!!!!!!!….. peaceful like in a movie hhehehheheh plus a cloudy sky….. huhuhuuuu sad but nice btw there were 2 other teachers whose existence are still not clear. Well, some victim were unidentified yet. wat a horrible accident (da!!)

Aight back to the above circumstance admiration of mine, by the way I believe we’ve all through some bad times. I also believe that it wasn’t only me who had a bit of good time in the midst of the bad. This “little” good time at least did pull our smile out yea… it would be exciting if we are able to find those ‘slipped’ good times in our bad times. We’d feel relieve , trust me!!!! Well, the problem is HOW!! How to find the little excitement in our bad moods..??aight now let me uncover my way: see around and get one thing as an object of our subsequent imagination. Imagine funny things that could happen to that object. i.e : say u had waited for a friend who’s not being on time on an appointment, at the mean time, u’ve been sitting there for such a bloody hours, and suddenly ur friend comes up lightly like nothing had happened. Say, he holds a mineral water in hand, just imagine he’d opened up the seal and drench himself with that water and he’d look a total idiot in a wet clothes ;p ….well, hopefully it’ll take over ur rage and u’ll turn normal again hehehhehheh

plain presentation is out!!!!!!!!!

All this time a presentation mostly done in a plain way, some man sit in front of us or just standstill and speech. Well, in one of my classes, a peculiar way of doing it done by my classmates,a role play and I will too as my turn comes hehheheh. It was the teacher’s decision to make our class more fun and exhilarating . too bad I haven’t accessed pictures of them doin presentation, but I will upload em as soon as possible. The topic in the presentation was about the securitizing act done in global environment. As we can see in Al-Gore’s( former US president’s candidate) film , “an inconvenient truth” which achieved an Oscar award by last week, he tried to make an environment issue matters in everybody’s mind. That our planet is in harm coz of global warming ,bla bla bla. One of the man in the presentation group acted as Al-Gore and it was successfully amusing the audiences. While the other man played as a presenter in one famous talkshow in Indonesia, and he made a parody of it hehehhehhe. The famous talkshow is called “kick Andy” and his was “kick me now” lol. As the background they played a snap screen of “an inconvenient truth”. They featured our teacher to play as an expert of the phenomenon. Al-Gore actor also did a speech representing Al-Gore’s actual speech in Oscar. Finally the rest of the class was also participating in question and answer about Al-Gore’s action and his hidden agenda in doing such campaign. We tried to conclude whether it was a politization or securitization of environment issue, and I supposed the presentation worked!!!!! Wat a brilliant idea u got there mate!!! Hahahhhha….it was a different presentation which combining an entertainment and academic analysis. It didn’t strain our mind. It’s a good way of studying. The teacher in this class was one of my favorites anyway. In our former class, he initiated the class to do a ‘learning cell’ in every meeting. It encouraged us to read the nite before and to speak our mind in the discussion the next morning. We were asked to write a resume of wat we had read and to make at least three questions to ask in class. The class were divided into some small groups, and the discussion happened in the group. We were given about 30 mins to discuss our questions and tried to answer them in the group. After the time up, then all questions came unanswered were proposed in class, and the teacher encouraged other group to answer with him to complete the answers. Damn man, it was effective. Long before the semester is done, we have finished reading the whole book and get understood ( I supposed). Wat a good teaching method. The class is not ruled solely by the teacher but us, the students. That’s wat democracy is all about.

mobil unik affandi

this car belongs to Affandi, once a well known painting artist of Indonesia... u know wat, as u see in the picture that the car isnt just plain but colorful.. Affandi did all those color onto it himself!!!! i figured it out last year as i went to Affandi's museum--which is huge-- with izumi, my japanese friend, and one of my classmates, we met a son of his and he told us all stories bout his father. this car's brand is Mitsubishi, and once the mitsubishi staffs come to Affandi's house and tried to offer him the latest version of their brand plus some other material in compensation to this colorful car. unexpectedly, Affandi refused it and decided to keep this car hhehehhehe, it's one of the most unique car ive seen, in my life... oh ya u should see also his house, where he parked it at..... the roof is resembling the banana leaf, and it's awesome!!!!!it's got artworks in every corner of it... he designed it himself as well, WITHOUT SKETCHES!!!!!, he just have to tell the brickman whooaaaa koollll .. so if u go to jogja, dont miss this museum which was former house of Affandi. u'll start to appreciate artwork i'm sure hehehhehehehh
